Eagle Fire Company

Safety by Audience

Tailored guidance for every member of your household.

Fire safety isn't one-size-fits-all. The advice below is grouped for the people in your life who may need it most.

Kids

Teach Stop, Drop & Roll. Practice 911 calls. Keep matches and lighters out of reach and explain why fire is not a toy.

Older Adults

Sleep on the ground floor when possible. Keep a phone and glasses by the bed. Consider extra smoke alarms with strobes.

People with Disabilities

Plan escape routes that work for mobility, hearing, and vision needs. Notify us in advance so we know who may need extra help.

Pet Owners

Use a window cling so firefighters know how many pets live inside. Keep leashes and carriers near exits. Pets are family — but never re-enter a burning home.
