Reminders to keep your home safe all year long.
Fire risks shift with the seasons. A little extra attention at the right time of year goes a long way.
Holiday Safety
Water live trees daily, check light strings for damage, never leave candles or fireplaces unattended, and unplug decorations before bed.
Winter Heating
Keep anything that can burn at least three feet from space heaters, fireplaces, and furnaces. Have chimneys inspected annually.
Grilling Safety
Grill outside only and at least 10 feet from your home. Clean grease buildup. Never leave a hot grill unattended.
Fireworks Safety
The safest fireworks are the ones you watch from a public display. If you use legal consumer fireworks, keep water nearby and never relight a dud.
